My Little Girl
Write me a poem dad, I don’t want any money
That’s my little girl, man is she so funny
But my little girl isn’t so little anymore
Now she’s a young lady, just listen to her roar
She gets a little sassy, sometimes a little loud
Likes to get a little tipsy, makes her daddy proud?
Seems a little like her mom, and a whole lot like dad
She’s usually a good girl, but loves to be bad
She loves a good story, and loves a funny joke
She laughs and grunts loudly, and even sometimes chokes
She looks in a daze the joke she doesn’t get
Then she laughs like she’s crazy, when I haven’t told the punchline yet!
She has the biggest smile and the biggest heart
Looks at you real strange, whenever she’s gotta fart
She says odd things quite often I might add
I look at her strangely, she says “hey you’re my dad”
Yes she’s a little odd, but I think she’s unique
I’m always on the ready, whenever she starts to speak
She always makes me laugh, sometimes I wanna cry
But my little girl is the apple of my eye!
She moved to California outside of L.A.
I wondered what the hell? But who am I to say
Have to let her go and find her way
To live her own life, to live another day.
When I look at you, I see so very much of me
Your name may be Branden, but to me you’re a Lee
You’ve got many friends and family that loves you so
Who love to see you flourish, love to see you grow
I love to see you happy, I cry when you’re sad
I love your beautiful smile, don’t like to see you mad.
Sometimes I am mean, an asshole I might add
I hope you understand, I’m just a worried dad.
Jade you’re my girl, my one and only
Remember I’m always there whenever you get lonely
I love you more and more each day that passes by
I look at your pictures that make me wonder why
Why you are so special, forever my little girl
The reason I exist in this big crazy world.
Jade I must say, funny thing I might add
I hope you find love, with some lucky lad
Please read these words and remember what I say
Your daddy will Always Love You, Forever and a Day!
